Topic Description:
Increasing demands for efficiency and sustainability in manufacturing processes require innovative solutions. Simulations offer great potential for virtually mapping, analysing and optimising manufacturing processes. At the same time, lifetime calculations are becoming increasingly important to ensure the reliability and cost-effectiveness of products.
The aim of this work is to further develop simulation methods in the area of manufacturing processes and
life calculation of polymeric materials. A specific topic will be selected in consultation with current research projects, e.g. environmental and media effects, multi-scale material modelling, uncertainties or warpage.
