Topic Description:
Increasing demands for efficiency and sustainability in manufacturing processes require innovative solutions. Simulations offer great potential for virtually mapping, analyzing and optimizing manufacturing processes. At the same time, lifetime calculations are becoming increasingly important to ensure the reliability and cost-effectiveness of products.
The aim of this thesis is to further develop simulation methods in the field of manufacturing processes and fatigue life calculation of metallic materials. A specific topic will be selected in consultation with current research projects, e.g. on digitalization, recycling, hydrogen influence or heat treatment.
