Courses

The aim of teaching at the Chair of Continuum Mechanics in Mechanical Engineering is to convey the fundamentals of continuum mechanical modelling and simulation. Relevant numerical solution methods are introduced. The modelling and simulation methods are applied to solids as well as to fluids. With such a fundamentally oriented and broad professional approach, there are optimal conditions for working in the field of research and development after completing your studies.

An overview of all the courses offered by the professorship on continuum mechanics in the bachelor's and master's programs can be found here. Further information on the bachelor's major on continuum mechanics (SP 13) can be found here.
